Endless summer fun in the Mitten State

Summer is here!

It’s safe to say days spent wasted are not days wasted and this weekend was no different.

My long time buddy turned 22 this past Saturday. The day was filled with wake boarding, skiing, and of course the big party on the sandbar to close out the day till sunset. New friends were gained and more memories were made. There truly is never a dull moment when I come up to Michigan.

Catching up with close friends has been rad but with the weekend coming to a close so is the fun…for now. Next weekend I’m off to see the rents for Father’s Day weekend for some much deserved family time.

Here are a few photos from the weekend. First one is a view from the house over the lake and the second one…describes the weekend pretty well.

Memorial Day Weekend; The Movement

Memorial Day weekend often viewed as the start of summer is definitely one of my favorite holiday weekends. From cook outs to family time this was the usual kick off event for my upcoming summer months.

This past weekend for Memorial Day I did things a little differently. I decided to spend the holiday with one of my many other  families and friends; my house grovin’ techno lovin’ music family.

Movement, a music festival that takes place right downtown in Hart Plaza along the Detroit River was this years choice and goodness me it did not disappoint.

Saw tons of awesome acts and met even more awesome people during the 3 day event. It brought such a new appreciation to the music and the people who attended.

All this excitement and hype after the first festival of the year have me stoked to start exploring new musical avenues, with this being just the beginning of a promising summer of adventure, friends, family, music, and spontaneity.
